Task Resource Analysis
The process of a task and resource analysis is to identify in real-time and in sequential order the minimum number of personnel required at any one time to achieve a response utilizing communications and taking the appropriate routes to achieve the defined response criteria.
From that point, RFF needs to be positioned appropriately to maximise their effectiveness. Factors such as the instigation and establishment of the Incident Command Structure, passenger and crew self-evacuation, access to the aircraft to carry out specific tasks if required, e.g. fire fighting, and rescue need to be measured in real-time.
From that juncture, the consideration of the support functions associated with any major incident requires measurement, such as sustaining the delivery of supplementary water supplies and the need to replenish foam supplies.
This process is something that takes an in-depth knowledge of both the airport environment and command and control of resources and manpower within our TRA team headed up by Peter Moore we have three such individuals.
